Port Wentworth Appoints Former Garden City Manager Scott Robider as Police Compliance and Grant Manager
 

PORT WENTWORTH, GA – March 22, 2024 – The City of Port Wentworth announces the appointment of former Garden City Manager, Scott Robider, as Police Compliance and Grant Manager. Robider will work under the supervision of the Assistant Chief of Police, Rennie M. Walters Sr., and will be responsible for code enforcement process oversight and review, grant writing, and assisting with management of Police Accreditation processes.

Scott Robider resigned from Garden City in February this year where he led the organization in his role of City Manager since 2019. Prior to this he served as Garden City’s Assistant City Manager. During his eight years at Garden City he planned, organized and defined the organization of City administration to ensure the coordinated and efficient effort across all departments to meet goals and objectives established by the Mayor and City Council. He has a strong background in regulatory compliance, code enforcement processes, grant writing and development, as well as the law enforcement accreditation process.
